Onward, into the mist, the future, the new year

Toddler was up before well before dawn this new year’s morning. We encouraged going back to sleep (and succeeded), but if we hadn’t, we realized later, we just might have seen snow falling to the desert floor. As it was, what we saw was still more than worth getting up a little past dawn for. Any year that begins with desert snow has to be all right. Here’s to a good one for us all.
