Comings and goings

I had a terrific time this past week talking about writing with the students at Hotevilla Bacavi Community School and about the Hopi Foundation’s Owl and Panther Project (which I volunteer with) on KUYI Hopi Public Radio, along with writer and OP program coordinator Marge Pellegrino, Marianna Pegno from the Tucson Museum of Art, and Ellinor Angel from Libraries, Ltd. This coming Saturday at 4 p.m., I’ll be at Changing Hands in Phoenix for their annual YAllapalooza, along with a bunch of other YA authors: Tom Leveen, Cecil Castelluci, Amy Fellner Dominy, Shannon Messenger, Suzanne Lazear, Kevin Emerson, Erin Jade Lange, Lisa McMann, Suzanne Young, James A. Owen, C.J. Hill (aka Janette Rallison), Laura Ellen, and Lisa Schroeder. (There’s also a YA writing conference right before. I won’t be able to make it to that, but you should still go, if you can!) And the Saturday after that–February 2–I’ll be near Houston for the Montgomery County Book Festival. If you’re somewhere I’ll be, come by and say hello!
