Characters don’t have much to say today. We’re coming up on either the last third or third fourth of the larger story, and I think none of us are quite sure what the shift is that needs to take place as we move into the story’s next “act.”

I can see a few things in the headlights. Not much. An escape, maybe. An implied need for a return.
Nothing to do but keep driving, and again and again take that leap of faith that the raw material on the page at draft’s end will give me enough to shape into a real story.
