The subject of how much editing editors do has come up in several discussions I’ve been part of lately. So knowing that an lj poll is not scientific, I’m nonetheless curious:
Note: for this poll, by edits I mean edits by an editor at your publishing house, not edits by critiquers or the edits you do on your own before your editor sees the book. I’m also looking specifically in the poll for novel-editing experiences, but feel free to talk about short fiction in comments!
Feel free to share the link–the more responses, the better.
