“Summer move forward and stitch me the fabric of fall …”

Finished the fourth draft of Faerie 3 (Faerie Fire? Faerie After?) late last night. Two thirds of it are pretty much there, pending the usual tightening and vividfying of emotion and description and such. The last third … well, it has the right shape. This is not a small thing. Now I just have to unpack it and thread through the things needed to make that shape make sense to readers who aren’t me. Getting the first two-thirds tightened will actually help with this.

But I’m slowly shifting from worrying about whether there’s a story here to worrying about doing that story justice, as happens.

Deep breath. A bit of thinking. And then — time to dive back in.
