Books read 2009

Read fewer books than usual this year, something I can only partly blame on the time spent with The Iliad.

Ones that particularly rocked my world, in one way or another, are in bold.

Favorites of the year–the ones my mind keeps going back to at random moments: The Underneath, Graceling, Fire, and Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms.

Books I cannot wait for next year: A Conspiracy of Kings (Megan Whelan Turner), The Last Hunt (Bruce Coville), and the third Hunger Games book (Suzanne Collins).
