Foxes, polar bears, penguins, etc.

I only saw the polar bears through glass. Which is, of course, a good thing. 🙂

Thought for the day, from chatting with the keeper in the shark enclosure: “If a polar bear paces, that’s a bad thing.” Or, there’s more than one reason to give the animals enough enrichment to keep them from getting bored. That’s a starfish he’s worrying at while he’s up top the box, by the way.

And, it’s hard to tell from the short video below, but there’s something incredibly joyous about watching beluga whales swim.
