Specifically, Cinna is one of the conspirators against Caesar, and helps to enlist Brutus. (And, lnhammer reminds me, a relative a Caesar’s as well.)
Cinna is also a poet who dies entirely because people are clueless and can’t tell him from the conspirator Cinna.
And Portia is Brutus’ wife. Who according to the quick summaries online (been a while since I read the play) doesn’t know about the conspiracy, just that something’s amiss with her husband.
I’m guessing these things are not coincidental, and will matter in later books.
