Dear Darcy’s Characters,
You know when to stay quiet. You know how to listen. You understand that it’s not all about you. I admire that. It’s not like I get anything like that sort of humility from the folks around here. In real life, knowing when to stay quiet is pretty powerful stuff.
But this isn’t real life, and there’s someone out there waiting to tell your stories. If you don’t give her something, the rest of us are never going to read them. Silence is golden, but stories get told with words.
So enough with the admirable behavior. It’s time to start talking.
Seriously,
Me
P.S. And you, over there in the corner, watching and feeling smug because you’re neither Darcy’s character nor mine? This means you, too.
P.P.S. Yes, you.
