Something that makes me smile: I can now type þ, ð and æ directly from my keyboard. Not to mention Þ, Ð and Æ.
Something that makes me wonder: I hear more and more concern about there not being enough “boy books” out there. But there’s a much more dramatic shortage of “girl movies”–kids’ movies here, especially animated ones, are biased so heavily toward male characters it’s ridiculous. Yet there’s far less outcry about that. Why do we worry so much more about shortchanging boys than about shortchanging girls?
