So, if anyone’s going to be in Arizona on September 9, Jennifer J. Stewart and I will be presenting a workshop for our local SCBWI chapter: A Journey of 25,000 Words Begins with a Leap of Faith (Bungee Cord Optional): Writing the Middle Grade Novel. Come join us! 🙂
In the meantime, I have a question for you all: What is your favorite middle grade novel?
(Middle grade novels are those books that are younger than young adult, but way older than picture books; and older, too, than those shorter beginning-to-read chapter books that often have black and white illustrations. They tend to be a bit larger than mass market paperbacks, and they’re usually aimed somewhere between grades 3-6, depending.)
