As a child, Inya had dreamed about hearing that voice. But that was a long time ago. She didn’t have time, now, for a child’s adventures.
Because I mostly write for kids and teens, it’s usually kids and teens who get to have adventures in my stories. But sometimes I think about the fact that adults hear the call to adventure too, sometimes–which is part of why I wrote “A Child’s Adventures.”
It’s set in Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar universe–it’s fun to play in someone else’s sandbox once in a while–but you don’t need to be familiar with Valdemar to read it.
