By the light of the moon

Many fine novels have been written in which the phases of the moon are irrelevant, are not noticed by or thought about by any characters of the story, and on no way influence the events of the story. Someday, I really ought to consider writing one.

(Wanders off to start tracking yet another book’s moon-phases on paper.) (Because keeping it all in my head never works.) (Even though it’s a simply matter, really.)
