Another urban legend bites the dust

I believed this one: that the commonly used CPR dummies were named “Annie” because they were modeled after the dead daughter of the man who first developed CPR techniques. I think I’ve been told this by everyone who’s ever trained me in CPR, including the Red Cross.

But apparently, it isn’t true.

Sometimes I wonder just how much false info even us skeptics are carrying around.
