So desertmorn and I invited 8 fellow local (middle grade and YA) writers to gather at her place yesterday for a day of critiquing, marketing talk, and sharing peer writing tips. It was remarkably easy and remarkably fun to do this–once we got all the incredible writers involved together in one room, the energy of the group took over, and a good and useful and productive time was had.
Today, of course, I need to get back to the work of taking all that good energy and using it to actually write things. 🙂
