Received word today that “Song for Two Voices” will appear in a yet-to-be-titled Valdemar anthology (edited by Mercedes Lackey, published by DAW Books sometime in 2006).
The story is about a Holderkin man who becomes lifebonded to his fourth wife. (The Holderkin being one of many groups of people in Valdemar; and a lifebond being roughly what it sounds like. 🙂 I had a lot of fun writing it, and getting into the mind space of a group of people usually shown from without rather than within.
Final word count wound up around 4500 words. 🙂
