Arizona smugness

People think we Arizonans are smug about our weather, but that’s not true. Or if we are, we get over it after a few 115 degree days.

What we’re really smug about is our clocks. As in, we don’t mess with them. Insofar as clock time is anything but a construct anyway, we always stick to /r/e/a/l/ standard time. None of this jumping back an hour, jumping ahead an hour.

And the best part of a summer day is when the sun goes down, and the heat of day gives way to warm, velvet dark.

Everyone else gets confused about Arizona time. But in this case, it really isn’t us–it’s everyone else (except for half of Indiana). Because our clocks aren’t the ones that are changing.

And we like it that way.
