Question for Bostonians and other northeasterners

A research question for Bostonians and other northeasterners:

What’s the earliest first snow you can remember? The earliest flurries?

If I’m reading this site right, it sounds like significant snowfall is unlikely before November, but like trace flurries can happen just about any time. Does that sound right?
