Book lines meme

Because I’m movie-illiterate, I decided to mutate the movie lines meme seen in redredshoes into a book lines meme. Guess where the lines come from in the comments section, and then I’ll give the answers (with credit) in another post.

Googling is, of course, cheating. 🙂

“Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?”

“You can never tell with magic. It’s very democratic.”

“There were jests about them and songs. And the songs outlasted the jests.”

“Sometimes you do everything you can, and you still can’t save them.”

“Heaven swallowed the smoke.”

“I do not love the arrow for its swiftness, nor the sword for its brightness,
nor the warrior for his glory.”

“She supposed it was a distinction of a sort, to be a harassment to a king.”

“Like and equal are not the same thing.”

“Not everyone who loves a thing has magic with it, you know.”

“Just remember that, because I’ll be back.”

“There’s a difference between getting money for what you do and doing it for money.”

“I do not care whether you hold out a long time or not.”

“Did you know that you are very strong?”

“The plague came out of nowhere.”

“It’s the fall of the sparrow I care about.”

“A tragedy. That’s what you get for reading Shakespeare so young.”

“And here is as great an adventure as I ever heard of, and here, if we turn back, no little impeachment of all our honors.”

“The snow with its whiteness …”

“‘Well, I’m back,'” she said.

“The happy ending cannot come in the middle of the story.”
