Anyone else find their shoelaces forever coming undone, even as an adult? It’s one of those odd things I’ve always found a little bit amusing and a little bit annoying.

But according to this web site on slipping shoelace knots there may be a simple solution: I’m tying granny knots instead of square knots.

Which made me go, “Oh! Of course!”

In more than three decades of shoelace tying, it never occurred to me to wonder just what sort of knot I was actually tying.

And for the record: the average 7-year-old finds untied shoelaces in an adult utterly hilarious. 🙂
