Revisions, the hardcopy edition

It’s interesting that no matter how many times I read through a book or story or article on-screen, when I print it I always find things to tighten and change. You wouldn’t think hard copy would make that much difference, but it still does, no matter how technophilic I may be.

I need to remind myself of this fact whenever I’m tempted to skip the read-the-printout stage to save time. There’s a reason reading hardcopy is slower: for whatever reason, I really am being more careful and catching more.
