I’ve been taking voice lessons for about a year now. Not because I have a good voice–because I don’t. I’ve always enjoyed singing and have always been horrid at it. But, well, I also believe most things can be learned, for all that some take a lot more effort than others, so I finally decided to put that to the test.
It’s fun to do something I’m not good at, on all sorts of levels. Fun to watch myself improve, fun to explore my own voice, fun to be doing something that truly is a hobby, and doesn’t need to or want to be anything more than that.
Anyone else pursued something they don’t have a talent for, and found it worthwhile?
