Drove up Mount Lemmon for the first time since the fire today (the road opened to the public Thursday).

Short version: it’s not as desolate as one might think, even the desolate bits are fascinating, there’s a startling amount of green ground growth, and the “feel” (don’t know any better way to put this) of the mountain is still the same.

It was good to be back up there.
