Today is election day. An off-year election, but that doesn’t make it less important. Off-year issues tend to focus on local issues, which matter at least as much within each of our communities as national issues.

Our local ballot includes elections for mayor, for three city council seats, and for a light rail transportation initiative.

Whatever everyone else’s local issues are, I hope you’re all able to get out and vote today!

And if you’re too young or otherwise not eligible to vote, that you can urge those around you to get out and do so.
